Kids are Honest
First of all I am finding out that I am a terrible blogger.......mainly because I always forget to post! We are in the middle of building a new house and things are getting hectice. However, something really funny happened this morning that I am still laughing about and I had to share. I climbed in bed with my 4 year old son, Ross, this morning. As I curled up next to him he said, "Mom, I don't want to smell your stinky breath." So I replied, "well I was just trying to love you" so Ross turns his back to me and kindly replies, " well could you just love my back." I had to laugh, harsh, but true words from my little man. The funniest thing about kids is that they do not come with a filter, sure wish I could speak my mind all the time and get away with it too!!

Did You Know?
My son, Ross just explained to me that we have two tanks in our stomach. He started coughing while drinking his juice and said the juice went in the wrong tank. So I said, well I guess it went into the food tank, right? Well, I was wrong, he said, no mom it went into the candy tank!!! So I just learned something new...we all have a juice tank and a candy tank...lol. Thanks Ross, for that enlightenment, it explains alot! Keep your "juice" and your candy tank on full and you're good to go!

Heart of Gold
Just had to share what my four year old told me. I was getting ready to leave for a 3 day tech conference and I told Ross how much I was going to miss him. He looked at me with his sweet little face and said "don't worry mommy, I'll kiss you when you leave and I'll kiss you when you get back." I gave him a big hug and then he said "you'll be in my heart while you're gone." It amazes me every day how sweet and pure his little heart is. He definitely has a heart of gold!

Always Clean Under The Rug!
So, as I was picking up toys in the playroom last night, I stumbled on the corner of the rug and felt something sticky on my feet. I pulled the rug back and found the remains of what seemed to be a very old banana. Sticky, slimy, and totally gross! Ross walked up and said "Oh, mom, that's Ryan's, he didn't want to eat it!" I didn't know whether to laugh or be mad that he didn't tell me about it. From now on, I'm pulling back all rugs in this house, you just never know when someone is going to decide not to eat something!!

"You Better Get Rid of That Monkey!"
Well, after a little thought and pondering....I'm taking the plunge and starting my first blog. I don't really know what I'm doing or why I'm doing it, but it just feels like something I should do. I'm dedicating this blog to the things in life that are funny, the things that make us smile and the things that make us happy. I'm a mom to a four year old and almost 2 year old boy, and believe me, there is never a dull moment. If you want a good laugh, just sit and talk to a 4 year old for a couple of minutes......you just never know what will come out of their mouths. And the funny thing is, what children say is usually the truth! I think I've already learned more from my boys than I could ever teach them. I've learned to laugh more than ever, I've learned that the most important things in life are not things at all!! And last, but not least, I've learned that you can watch Toy Story 3 over one hundred times and not go crazy! And if you've watched Toy Story as much as we have, you'll know what I'm talking about when I say "You Better Get Rid of That Monkey!" That has become a daily saying at our house. For some reason, my youngest son thinks that is the funniest thing. The neighbors probably think we are weird because we walk around telling our kids "you better get rid of that monkey" and then we all laugh. But hey, it's the little things in life like that, which make the worries of the day go away. The sound of my boys giggling after we say it, is something I wouldn't trade for the world. So to all of you out there having a bad day......You Better Get Rid of That Monkey!"
